FAQ

How can physiotherapy help you?

Physiotherapists are university trained health care providers who play an integral role in health promotion and the management of injury and disease. They possess in depth skills and knowledge of physical function and impairment to assess, diagnose and treat a wide variety of injuries and conditions. Physiotherapists aim to maximize your physical health, independence and overall well-being.

Do I need a Doctor’s referral?

No. A doctor’s referral is not required to book an appointment with us. Some private health care insurance companies require a doctor’s referral before treatment is covered. We recommend you contact your insurance company for details ahead of time. If you have a referral, please bring it with you on your initial visit.

Do you directly bill insurance companies?

We do direct bill insurance companies that allow this option. It is best to contact your insurance company to verify coverage for physiotherapy services, and whether they can be billed directly, or whether a paid receipt must be submitted for reimbursement. Please note: we are not a WCB provider.

What to expect during visits?

Your first appointment will last approximately one hour, depending on reason for visit. Follow-up visits will last between 30 to 60 minutes.
